Kokeshi "Koigokoro"
A young girl dressed in a cherry blossom patterned kimono.
In Japanese tradition, the flower blossom is a symbol of rebirth and strength, as it blooms in the still cold month of February. Okamoto Usaburo had titled this doll "Koigokoro", which means "Awakenings of love". The second, smaller kokeshi doll is not included. It helps illustrating the size.
